I started to draw a flower, and I drew this, the first petal. I realised that the petal I'd drawn was so good, so perfectly what was in my mind, that to continue the drawing to try to finish the flower, would have ruined it. Even had the flower been adequate, it could not have been as good as that one petal. So rather than ruin the picture, I left it unfinished. It's better this way.
